Jim’s presentation was given at a speed beyond my mind mapping skills. I quickly realised there was one clear message, which you should get by looking at the map below.
He gave us a Highland torrent of examples of applying MindGenius in community politics to help stakeholders reach concensus on difficult decisions. In the blistering pace I detected that Gael used MindGenius to:
- Feedback the discussions live to the participants
- Record the minutes of the meetings
- Publish the record
- Track the actions
- Manage the process
He reiterated that the tool enhanced the process and the meetings. It contributed to the success of this public consultation.
It was a great example of the application of mind mapping software out in the public domain.
Jim mentioned the Institute of Collaborative Working as a relevant web site worth visiting.
If you would like to listen to Jim Mather’s talk Merv Wyeth made this recording: “Is there justification for giving mind mapping mainstream status?“.
Please note Alresford, Winchester and Hampshire Councils, I could help you to.
